Ad te levávi
I have lifted up
óculos meos,
my eyes to you,
qui hábitas in cælis.
who dwells in the heavens.
Ecce sicut óculi servórum
Behold, as the eyes of the servants
in mánibus dominórum suórum:
are on the hands of their masters,
Et sicut óculi ancíllæ
as the eyes of the handmaid
in mánibus dóminæ suæ:
are on the hands of her mistress,
Ita óculi nostri
so our eyes
ad Dóminum Deum nostrum,
are upon the Lord our God,
donec misereátur nostri.
until he may be merciful to us.
Miserére nobis Dómine,
Have mercy on us, O Lord,
